Jadeite (or Jade-ite) first came to prominence in the United States during the 1930s and 40s during and after the Great Depression, it’s roots in utilitarian pieces, that were hardworking in farm kitchens. This was the glassware that matched the wooden handles of kitchen utensils, egg beaters, spoons and potato mashers.
